Description
This is a photo of million year+ sandstone, that has a piece of basalt that was caught in the beach sand prior to the years of pressure and heat that formed the sandstone. The different layers and ripples of the beach sand can be seen, as well as the calcification around the basalt. I just noticed the the piece of basalt has a resemblance to the outline of the State of Oregon. It just so happens that the photo was from an Oregon beach.

Hmmm. I don't see Oregon, I see lower Michigan. Joke. And this sandstone looks like some I photographed in Upper Peninsula, Michigan at Lake Superior. When I hit the rock "bubbles" with a hammer it revealed air pockets with different colors beneath. On Google Earth you can zoom in to the lake just south of Bete Gris to see the underwater volcanic rock.
