Description
Dwarf Dogwood (Cornus canadensis) is a member of the Dogwood Family. This species is also known as Bunchberry. The actual flowers are the tight groupings in the center of the white "bracts" (modified leaves), in the fall the bracts turn brown and the flowers become brilliant clumps of orange red berries that cover the forest floor in late summer. Abundant throughout the Pacific Northwest.
